I hope you gain 50lbs by the time you come back. Not only are you irritatingly ungrateful, you are skinny. Which is also irritating.

No need to yell, it was a fair question to ask. You wouldn't believe how many people come to this board asking for technique help when they hadn't even read the book.

why on earth would you post a video asking for critique. Then get said critique and you just get angry at the responses?

Seems to me you need to work on taking things in stride and also not being a giant pussy and deadlift 135 from the floor. Cmon man fucking 8th graders start with 135 lbs on the bar.

Starting Strength even talks about this. The lift is significantly different with standard sized plates ON THE FLOOR. that rack whether you believe this or not will cause the bar to bounce and whip. Show us a 135x5 DEAD stop set.

    Hi Blavis,

as someone has already said, from the point when the bar goes over your knees until the end of the lift you are sliding the bar on your thighs. That is not correct DL form (although it will serve you well once you start learning the Power Clean).

It's not just a form thing; sliding the bar on your thighs changes completely the mechanics of the lift, which means that what you are doing is not what you will be doing when the weight increases.

In the end, it boils down to what others have just said: put at least 135 on the bar, and try again.

Look forward to see your next video.

if you don't like the answer, then don't ask the question.

-ok, 8th graders do 135. got it

-im skinny for a reason. i'd love to see any of 'you' guys come over to my sport so i could talk shit when you fail to run 100yds.

-my replies were not ungrateful or angry. i was expecting comments could work off of, not 'stop being a pussy' or 'your skinny and thats irritating'. how in the hell is that productive?

-yes, i have the book and have read it. that is the reason i started this workout.

-damn, you guys are ruthless with it comes to rookies. im excited to see your replies once i do 135.

Allow me to be curious: your sport is ?

As for running 100 yds, you might be surprised.

ive been a distance runner forever. therefore, building muscle was out of the question because it slows you down.

unless of course you don't consider track and field and XC a sport.

    I can't see why I should.

Given that you are a distance runner, I am bemused by the fact that you chose to challenge people to run a piffling 100 yds.

It also endearing, in a way, that as a distance runner you come to a strength forum and start acting all Big Boy when someone tells you things you don't like.

Anyway, it's all by the by. As I've already said, I hope you'll post soon another video.
    Have a good day.
