Can you post a video of the lift?
I've noticed when the deadlifts get hard I feel like I'm straightening my legs straight away and then doing a sort of romanian deadlift at the top... it feels like I'm trying to pull the bar in that position forever (probably only like 2-5 seconds though). It only seems to happen at the top of the movement (to my knowledge)
if anyone has the book, the perfect picture is on page 125 of SS 2nd edition. Rip talks about how your back muscles are designed to hold a position, not straighten it under a heavy load which is why it's so difficult to finish a deadlift in this position.
Do you think i'm starting with a bent back and that's how i'm ending up like this, or could I be bending after the lift has started?
The book doesn't say how to avoid it, it just says a lot of deadlifts are missed this way
Can you post a video of the lift?
I'm deadlifting tomorrow, albeit with 5 kg less than usual due to recently having deloaded
my sister isn't at the gym tomorrow so she can't film me how should I go about filming?
ha yeah
I'm just worried that people will think I'm full of myself filming my lifts like I'm trying to look cool on camera. I guess I just shouldn't care what they think?
People get used to it. They probably just figure out that you are more serious about this stuff than most.
alrighty then it's a plan!
cheers
i'll have it up tomorrow
