    Hello!

I am about 75% sure I am feeling my knees on the ascent of my squat due to my hips going back first instead of up.

Do y'all have any cues I can think about during my ascent?

    Thank you for your time.

As in, your knees are hurting?

Yeah - my left hurts more than my right but I think it is due to the ascent.

There's a little knee slide, but not much. Bend over more and reach back with your ass.

So fixing my descent will fix the ascent?

    Thanks!!!

Your first rep was the worst, but your second was the best. On your second rep, watch how quickly your left knee gets set -- to its forward most position -- very quickly into your descent. I also don't think all that movement in your knee prior to the first rep is helping anything, and may be hurting. Placebo it may be, but I like wearing knee sleeves because of the warmth and compression they provide -- you might try them. I also think you are looking into the mirror, and accordingly your cervical spine is in extension -- straighten your neck and stare at that white piece of trim below the mirror.
