Any thoughts on the Innov-8 Standard fit for a wide forefooted person?

Thanks for the help. I'm going to spring for the AdiPower. There is a 15% discount if you sign up for some email crap for first timers. I have narrow feet and have had many nice fitting and super long lasting Adidas soccer shoes, so I'll give them a try. I can't wait for them to arrive and try them out.

Thanks Tom - I was mislead because they came up in a search for weightlifting shoes. I gather that I need to ensure the shoe has a stiff sole - anything else to look for to ensure I'm not bamboozled by marketing?
You will have to use your common sense. If the shoe has an EVA (foam) midsole, it is not ideal. Inov8 makes lifting shoes, just not those. Many of the shoes here are good, with some exceptions:
www.roguefitness.com/shoes/weightlifting-shoes
Shoes on the page above that Tom approves of:
Nike
Adipower
CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0 (Haven't got to try these, or even handle them yet, so I am making some assumptions. I could be wrong)
Inov8
Shoes on that page that Tom does not approve of:
Adidas on that page that do not say "Adipower" in the name
Any Reebok shoes that don't have "Plus" in their name
Did I mention how sad I am that Rogue discontinued their versions of the Do-Wins recently? It makes me sad.
Did I mention how bizarre and confusing the Reebok shoe names are? That makes me sad, too.
I own a pair of these. They're my first weightlifting shoes, so I can't say how they compare to others, but I can vouch for the rigidity of the sole. I initially looked at the Crossfit Lifter 2.0 (non-plus) and those were squishy. The Lifter Plus is not. I'm very happy with them.

That is what it how it appeared. Good.
Tom, any information on Risto lifting shoes? Thanks
I believe they are made by a company in South America. Ecuador, maybe? They tended to have higher heels and limited availability. The do, however, have wooden midsoles. I just took a look at their website, it appears some of their shoes are now made in the US, so perhaps they are easier to get a hold of. They look fantastically ugly, but they don't squish. I haven't worn them, but they should work just fine.
