First off I just want to say that Hawaii is absolutley incredible, I got to snorkle woth sea turtles and manta rays, I was literally 2 feet away from a seas turtle for at least 5 minutes. That was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done.
Now on to training, basically what I want to get off my training when I get back from the trip is 3 things, to get stronger, to stay above 200 pounds, and to get leaner. This is the main reason I am switching to 5/3/1 is because it is a lot more forgiving in terms of recovery than the Texas Method is. I will be following Jordan's article "to be a beast" and will be eating 3400 calories, and my macros will look like this 270/260/70, p/c/f. I will also be doing two sessions of HIIT a week. Hopefully this gets me on the right track
