I have put on a ton of mass over the years from training. Female, 42 years old, 5'6", currently 178lbs (up from 140lbs years ago).

I've been on a bulk the past few months. While I look amazing and my liplfts are growing, I'm having difficulty sleeping comfotably. I wake up multiple times a night with my arms going numb in almost any position.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it related to my growth? Something else? Any tips for how to get over it so I can sleep soundly?

    Are you using a CPAP?

If I sleep on my left side, I wake up with my left arm asleep. I can no longer do anything on my stomach. On my back, seems the best overall for my body.

A CPAP might help you get to sleep well enough that your body sorts its position out more efficiently.

Assuming you have good lifting technique, I believe the arm going numb is likely caused by the shoulders getting bigger or is a temporary phenomenon related to growth/inflammation/tightening of connective tissues.

One of the most adorable things about men is how little they care about all the shit we fret over.

Yeah, you're also about to the age where you're going to mysteriously start waking up at like 4:30 am. Just go on and get the CPAP. Though, a buddy of mine uses a bed wedge, puts him at a nice angle like a hospital bed.

Are these reproduced at other times? Have you considered thoracic outlet compression, pec minor syndrome?
