I’ll be at the seminar this weekend and have been told that no trip to Texas is complete without a good steak.
I’ll be in town an extra day after the seminar and although I’d prefer to stay local I am willing to drive within 2 hours if need be. I can head home to Memphis either through Oklahoma or Dallas, so if it’s on the way, I’ll take either route.
If there isn’t a good steak, I’ve heard the BBQ brisket is good. I’ll drive for good BBQ too.
Looking forward to seeing y’all.

That's a tough one, since there is essentially no outstanding steak on a plate in WF. Texas Best on Maplewood has a good ribeye, but if you're going to be in Dallas anyway eat at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse on Lombardy. Best in the state.

My daughter likes to lift with me sometimes. She’s a young female person and my bench is too high and wide for her. I’m going to make one but haven’t decided what size to make it. I’m leaning towards making it an inch or so higher than the distance from her heel to the back of her knee. Have you got any sort of guidelines for width? I’m thinking of measuring the distance between her shoulder blades and then use whatever wood I’ve got that’s close to that.
Make her a 10" wide bench at standard height, and shim up her feet with plates or blocks.
