That is certainly one possibility. Another is that they may be reluctant to wear a FEMA logo that would make them the target of the crazies that are among us.

I found the comments to be humorous but in keeping with the spirit of the conspiracies surrounding the FEMA response, I suggest she inadvertently reveled the existence of "ghost employees". I pulled the below salary information from the FEMA web site, these people are well paid but as Director she may want supplemental income that is afforded by ghost employee salary payments to her secret account.

I don't know what affect the Biden/Harris inflation has had on these numbers but I'm pretty sure they have not gone down.

This mystery women Sylvia Young has demonstrated her ignorance with this post. She is obviously unaware that military aircraft use subdued camo markings to obscure the aircraft's unit identity from a distance. Up close they can be identified.

Of course the military could have gone to this marking scheme years ago in anticipation of events such as this. But it is used in tactical combat operations quite effectively.

In this case the helicopter has been identified as a NCARNG Blackhawk. There was also another similar incident with a Chinook. Both aircraft have been identified and the crews properly grounded until the facts are gathered and further action can be decided upon.

These types of incidents have multiple causes but ultimately the pilot in command and crew are responsible. Improper marking (closed or hot) and security of an LZ is the responsibility of the person in charge of the LZ. The air crews are responsible for making a low recon visual inspection and making the best decision they can prior to landing in the LZ. Sometimes they screw up and shit happens.

The Guard, being a highly politicized organization, will hang the pilots on main street if the chain of command is threatened by this SNAFU. Public hysteria will even be used as evidence against the crew since it is a PR nightmare.

Even the Cajun Navy- those responsible for the LZ in question- want lenient treatment for the crew. They seem to recognize that other crews may baulk at supporting them if they cannot be properly prepared to receive further support for NG helicopters. All crews can refuse to use an unsafe or ill prepared LZ. This applies to civilian and military helicopters.

Keep in mind that there is no intelligence test or requirement to be knowledgeable before posting on X. Anything you repost is on you.

Just looking at the video it would be pretty clear to anyone with a brain that a blackhawk shouldn't be landing there. Through your rose colored glasses one could at best come to the conclusion... is this the best our military has to offer?
